Day 1: Arrival to Amman

Arrival to Amman Queen Alia Airport, meet and assist and Private Transfer to your hotel in Amman City

Day 2

Duration of tour: 5 hours

Enjoy a visit to the city of Amman and the famous Desert Castles.

Your driver will pick you up from your hotel and will take you to meet your local site guide at the Roman Theatre, which is still used for cultural events. It is then on to the Citadel, the site of the earliest fortifications, where numerous excavations show Roman, Byzantine and Early Islamic remains. Here your Citadel guide will show you the famous Temples of Hercules, the Umayyad Palace complex with its monumental audience hall and a Byzantine Church. You will also visit the Archaeological Museum with its excellent collection of the antiquities of Jordan History. In the East of Amman, you will visit the Desert Castles, which stand as a testament to the flourishing beginnings of Islamic-Arab civilization. Your Desert Castle Guide (local site guide) will show you the fine mosaics, frescoes, stone and stucco carvings and illustrations which were inspired by the best in Persian and Greco-Roman traditions and tell countless stories of life as it was between the 5th and 8th Century.

Day 3

Duration of tour: 6 hours

Enjoy the biblical city of Madaba, Mount Nebo where Moses is buried and the sight of the Dead Sea with its calming waters.

Your visit will start at the Biblical city of Madaba, once a Moabite frontier town which continued to be inhabited in the Nabatean and Roman periods. You will be able to admire the outstanding mosaic pavements in the Greek Orthodox Church, which have been preserved in their original places. You will have the opportunity to see the 6th century mosaic map of Palestine, which is a masterpiece of Byzantine art. Your visit will then move to Mount Nebo where you will see the burial place of Moses. You will also be able to enjoy the sight of the Dead Sea, the lowest point on Earth with its gentle lapping waters, well known for its healing minerals from the sea’s muddy floors.

Check out your hotel in Amman and private transfer to Amman Queen Alia Airport for departure flight.
